“Pie’d Pipers” 12″ x 12″, Acrylic.
The long, tall pantry was the most prized room in the house. Or so I thought. Its shelves ran floor to ceiling and were filled with pots and pans, dishes, canned goods, the cookie jar, AND my grandmother’s yogurt jar. She kept live yogurt culture in a canning jar, and processed it nightly – by squeezing the liquid out of the cottage cheese-like culture, and then covering it once again with milk. She drank the bitter anti-arthritis tonic religiously, and shared the prolific culture with half the town of Attica.
This excerpt is taken from the book “Holding Her Hand”, where the artist makes a personal commentary on each of the paintings. To read the full commentaries, the book is available for purchase.

Reproductions in this the "Holding Her Hand" series are wrapped around 1.5" stretcher strips, like the original. They are ready to hang without framing.
